K(no)w Black Archives, K(no)w Black Studies. : Home

This guide is intended as a supplement to the physical displays of the same title that are on exhibit in the library during the Fall 2024/ Spring 2025 academic year.

Project Overview

It is the accurate creating, collecting, cataloging, and preserving of primary sources that makes Black Studies possible.  If archives are maintained and available, there are countless opportunities, through scholarship, to offer new insights into the lived experiences and movements that are the foundation of Black Studies.  Through this exhibition, Lincoln University pays tribute to the many creators, curators, collectors, and archivists who ensure that these materials are created and preserved for study.
