Forgetting is a phenomenon of dis-remembering already encoded information. It can be a spontaneous or gradual phenomenon in which older memories are lost or start to fade away. The mechanism of forgetting was first studied by a German psychologist named Hermann Ebbinghaus

It refers to the tendency to predict an outcome of the event before its occurrence. Hindsight bias can cause serious consequences during the decision making process.People tend to believe an event being predictable even before it has occurred.

The process of thinking, learning, perception, remembering, and problem-solving is collectively termed as cognition. A language is a form of symbolic communication among humans to express information, knowledge, and thoughts. The cultural influence on a person can bring about differences in his or her cognition and linguistic behavior

Person perception or social perception is the way that we form our opinions of people. It is the method by which we perceive others based on our own experiences. Person perception also plays a huge role in influencing the people that we find physically attractive. The people to whom one has a physical attraction can change based on their lived experiences.

Ebbinghaus’s forgetting curve is defined as the curve that explains the reduction of the brain’s capability to retain memory over the period of time. In simple terms, it defines the forgetting rate.

Self Psychology, derived as a deviation from classical psychodynamic theory, postulates that “an individual’s self-cohesion, self-esteem, and vitality derive from and are maintained by the attuned responsiveness of others to his/her needs” (Lauffenburger and McMahon, 2014)

To get a proper understanding of the core topic, i.e., dorsal stream processes, it is better to start with a basic definition as dorsal stream processes receive incoming visual information and transform into a coordinate system for skilled motor planning. It recognizes the guidance of action and recognizes where the object is. It is also known as parietal stream processes. Stream means a pathway or a flow that runs toward the parietal lobe from the primary visual cortex that is interconnected through various parallel streams that run from the visual cortex to the temporal lobe.
