Learn more about the Langston Hughes Memorial Library.

Circulation

Located on the main floor of the library, the circulation desk offers the following services:

  • Borrow and return library items
  • Check out course reserves
  • Pick up interlibrary loan items
  • Pay library fines
  • Reserve a room

The circulation desk is also the place to go to sharpen pencils, hole punch, staple or clip papers together, find scrap paper, borrow scissors/other supplies or headphones and use the paper cutter!

Lending Periods

  • The lending periods listed below are for standard circulating materials.
  • Course reserves, reference books, periodicals, and special collections materials are for in library use only.

Fines by Material

  • $0.25 per item/per day for circulating materials
  • $5.00 per item/per day for unauthorized removal of reserve/reference/and all materials that are "In Library Use Only"
  • $3.00 collection fee is added if sent to the Bursar's Office at the month's end
